Our vineyards
Caring for our vineyards is a true vocation. The Locci family devotes great attention to every stage of the cultivation process. This allows us to grow healthy, high-quality grapes while maintaining a deep connection with our terroir.
One of our most important practices is hand harvesting. Expert hands carefully pick the selected grapes during the harvest, a labor-intensive process that requires time and attention. This traditional method allows for the meticulous selection of only the finest grape clusters, ensuring that only the highest-quality grapes are used in the production of our wines. Manual harvesting preserves the integrity of the grapes, preventing damage and oxidation, resulting in more balanced and aromatic wines.
The over 75 acres of vineyards at Cantine Locci Zuddas are the pulsating heart of our winemaking production. Located between the areas of Soleminis and its surroundings, our lands possess unique characteristics that significantly contribute to the quality of our wines.
The soil that cradles our vineyards is a key element. Here, we find an extraordinary terroir characterized by a limestone and clay soil, which imparts a distinctive mineral structure to our wines and adds to the complexity of their flavors. The unique composition of Sardinian soil is the result of millennia of geological history, making every glass of wine an authentic journey through time.
